Our 6th Bookworms meeting may have been online but that didn't stop it from being a really mouthwatering one... themed 📚 Midi Bookworms 🐛 and 🐉 Dragons Love Tacos 🌮, we had a gala time talking about everything from wonderful creatures to delectable dishes.
We started the meeting with a round of hellos to all our friends- Mahima, Amina, Sarisha, Vedhika, Fathima, Surya, Yug, Ara, Anirudh, Mishita, Prisha, Kavni, Rahil and Shraddha.
Then we read the New York Times bestseller book "Dragons Love Tacos" by Adam Rubin, illustrated by Daniel Salmiers, which is a funny, silly picture book with wonderful art. It was perfect for reading together as in a lighthearted way, it gives a very serious warning about what not to feed dragons when we throw them a party: hot, spicy salsa on their tacos!
After this, we went on to put our own spin on this tale and each of us came up with a drawing to the simple prompt of: What animal would we throw a party for, and what would be their favourite food, which we would serve up!
Each of the 12 children came up with some wildly creative ideas! It was wonderful to hear each one of them describe their drawing to their friends. Here are some of the excellent original pieces of art that the Midi Bookworms came up with:
Dolphins Love Pizza- Prisha, 7
Cats Love Pizza- Amina, 8:
Giraffes Love Cupcakes- Anirudh, 6
Cats Love Mangoes- Mishita, 6

We enjoyed seeing all our friends' creative drawings and finally, we said "Good night!". I had a great meeting, and I hope we are able to resume in-person meetings again soon! Thank you all for attending, see you next time x
